Manuel Negrete is a Mexican soccer coach and retired professional soccer player who has a net worth of $5 million. Manuel Negrete was born in Ciudad Altamirano, Mexico in March 1959. He was a midfielder who started his career in 1979 with UNAM Pumas. He played for Pumas until 1986 appearing in 215 matches and scoring 53 goals. In 1986 he played for Sporting CP and in 1987 for Sporting de Gijon. From 1987 to 1990 he once again played for UNAM Pumas, appearing in 117 more matches and scoring 39 more goals. From 1990 to 1991 he played for CF Monterrey before once again playing for UNAM Pumas from 1991 to 1992, this time scoring 11 goals in 38 caps. From 1992 to 1993 he played for Atlante F.C.
and from 1993 to 1994 for Toros Neza. He played for CF Acapulco from 1994 to 1995 and finished his playing career for Atlante F.C. from 1995 to 1996. Negrete also represented Mexico in international competition from 1981 to 1990. He played in the 1986 FIFA World Cup where he had one of the most spectacular goals in World Cup history.
